Glaucoma Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and manage all types of glaucoma, including primary, secondary, and congenital glaucoma
• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including IOP measurement, gonioscopy, and optic nerve evaluation
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual fields, and fundus imaging
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (medical, laser, and surgical)
• Perform glaucoma-related procedures (e.g., laser trabeculoplasty, trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage devices)
• Monitor disease progression and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Educate patients and families about glaucoma, treatment options, and long-term care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Collaborate with general ophthalmologists, optometrists, and allied healthcare staff
• Adhere to ethical standards, clinical protocols, and safety guidelines
• Participate in CME programs, audits, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience
• MBBS with MS/DNB in Ophthalmology
• Fellowship or specialized training in Glaucoma
